About
Jessica Quintana’s love for Spanish started with her great-grandma’s tortillas. She began studying Spanish in high school and hasn’t stopped since! She earned an undergraduate degree in Spanish with Honors at U.C. Davis and a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Spanish at C.S.U. Sacramento. Through a few short-term missions trips and some volunteer opportunities over the years she’s been able to put her Spanish in action to help others. She has taught preschool, high school and every grade in between.
Jessica knows firsthand that learning a language is a lifelong endeavor and she hopes to motivate her students to join that pursuit. She enjoys staying up-to-date with language learning research and methodology so that she always has a variety of tools and activities ready to help her students grow. Incorporating her students' interests is a key strategy in all her lessons. When she isn’t teaching, she loves to cook her family’s favorite Mexican recipes, walk the dogs, and listen to podcasts mostly (yep, you guessed it) in Spanish.
